Question F-5 Pod Mounting

I have installed my DP-tuner F-5 switch with velcro tape to hold it in place on my dash. The problem is the mounting tape is starting to melt away from the heat. Anyone have better ideas, without cutting holes in my dash.. thanks jeff

The way I have mine set up is a piece of 1/8 aluminum plate about 3 inches long by 1 inch wide. I bent a roughly 90 degree angle in the last 1/2 inch and screwed it to the dash BEHIND/UNDERNEATH the knee bolster panel (as I absolutely HATE drilling interior panels). I cut a rectangle hole in the plate that would allow the connector to poke through. I used 3M double-sided trim tape to hold the switch to the panel...it ain't coming off. However, I am still using the "flat", obsolete wire harness for the F5...it fits great between the lower dash and upper dash panel just above the fake dash vents by the ignition lock cylinder.

EDIT:

Oops....didn't catch the word "pod" in your post. Forget what I just wrote.
Duh. I am having a blonde moment.

I am sure you still have the switch as the pods are not even in beta testing yet... They are going to have a "pod" that mounts in a gauge hole but its not there yet.
