I have a '55 panel. I never liked the bulk of the stock rear bumper, so I installed a pickup bumper on it, and I like it.
I have noticed, as recently as the Supernats, that some 53-56 panels have installed what looks I believe like a F1 back bumper. This bumper has less bulk (less wrap around) than the 53-56 panel one, but still has some gentle curves at the corners. It looked from a distanace like F1.
Just curious, do the F1 rear bumpers bolt up easily to a 53/56 frame, or what is this less curved bumper? I guess it could be a stock bumper cut down at the edges.
Before I eliminated the rear bumper on my panel I thought that the front bumper from a 49-52 f1 might fit the rear, looks to be the same profile but don't think that it would be a direct bolt in. My thought for what it's worth.
AX, that's probably what I saw, because there were a number of them there and they all looked the same. Never did think of just looking in a catalogue!
