injector tips

injector tips

do they make injector tips for the 7.3 because a buddy on mine bought some performance tips for a cummins, and i was wondering if they made them for the powerstroke and if so is it a good thing to purchase.

Here are at least two links where you can purchase R&R parts and upgraded nozzles if you want to do it yourself.

So in answer to your question, yes they are available. There are only a handful of people who have done this with the '99-'03 7.3L, but quite a few more with the older Powerstrokes. It seems the guys who have done this are satisified with the results.

Also if you compare prices of these kits compared to Cummins upgraded nozzles, there is a big price difference. Powerstroke injectors are HEUI, so there are more parts and it's a bit more complicated.

from what i seen though looks like you will pay a pretty penny for them

You will see no gains with just a Tip upgrade on a PSD, only more smoke and higher EGT's... You have to change the plungers and barrels to push more fuel... The injectors are differant beasts from a 5.9 to a 7.3

well more smoke is always good but no more hp is a bad thing
