Where do all y'all live, because where I live now in mid tn. I'm seeing round 205 and as high as 210(might have gone to 211 or 212 don't have digital so I don't know, but 210 for sure) and that is just about everyday now that summer is upon us, slightly over 210 when I'm pulling the horse trailer, but I also slow down when I'm pulling the horse trailer so that I'm sure takes off some of the stress of the engine and why it doesn't go much over 210 when towing.

Well I live within 3 miles of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan so our climate is tempered by the lake which has a water temp of 38 degrees right now. High 80's is considered very hot. Normal summer temps are in the 70's, maybe low 80's. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 60's. Great summer weather but we have to put up with 250-300 inches of lake effect snow in the winter. Some day when I'm old and decrepit, I'll need a winter home down south

I went into a block plug on the L/H side of the engine towards the rear, you will need an adapter (don't remember the part number, but there was a thread here about it) the plug removes with a 6mm allen wrench.
I tapped for mine on the dieselsite coolant filter. As for temp, I'm in Mid-Mo and she usually runs 195-198 no load and up to 210 with 8500# load when it's 90 outside.

thats exactly what i was gonna do was just use a adapter and t the sender in...
My gauge shows around 193 at normal operating temp. Towing a 7000 lb trailer up a stiff grade maintaining 60 mph it's been as high at 225 then the clutch fan turns and I let off it a bit.
