That was too close, scary stuff. I hate high winds and tornadoes, we have lost some nice big trees in the last few years.
How about joining the Man/Sask chapter? If interested check out the sticky at the top of this chapter`s main page.
Hell...I didn't know y'all HAD tornados up there until they ran a piece on tornados on the weather channel.....We've got more (much more) down here......and y'all haven't had one over F4, I think.....But still......What really surprised me was the fact that one of the hotspots is lower Ontario by the Great Lakes.....Lake effect on winds, etc.....
A few years back the Saskatoon area had a plow wind knock over the Sunset Drivein movie screen, move/destroy grain bins and buildings.
It also flattened a few buildings as well as lift some houses off the foundation.
I've seen 3 in the Brandon area. Not as big as that one. There was one that nearly hit Brandon a couple years back. There were a few people here at work that took pictures of it from plant site. We were lucky. It picked up off the ground shortly before it hit the plant. That would have been VERY bad.
i been through two tornados here in Sask. and a few plow winds. But no tornados of that size. One that snapped trees and threw a lot of debris. The ones I went through never touched down just went over head and then the rain and hail followed.
Yeah that was pretty crazy no way i would want to be near one of those i have been hearing about them on the news well there has been a tornado spotted outside of saskatoon more than a few years ago i heard
well, i think we can expect them to become more and more common here, and in many other places they have never been, due to the strange weather patterns. this world is on a path to self destruction i think...
