my alternator
hey whats up i have a 94 f-150 xl and the alternator recently went out and i replaced it with the standard one. but at night when my lights are on my volt meter goes below normal and the lights dim out.any ideas???

If you are putting a stock one on.........make sure your battery is well charged.......you'll burn the alternator out fast if the battery is down below 12 volts.........they are made to maintain a charge.......not build one up.
