Another successful Overhead Console install

Completed the installation of the overhead console in my 99 Ranger. It turned out great, functions perfectly, and fits perfectly....I am very pleased with the results. Thanks to Rockledge's post in the tech info section (and some personal guidance during the project) and credit to John Griggs's detailed instructions.

Zach, really had no issues with the wiring. The consolde I purchased included the original wiring harness with about 4' of wire. All wire color codes matched to the installation instructions. I punched through the firewall for the temperature sensor using the opening for the hood release cable and routed along that cable to the front end for the sensor location. Power and speed input were convenient behind the radio. Probably the most apprehension was cutting the headliner to make sure I had a good fit. Good instructions and some coaching from Joe along the way made this a simple install. Glad I did it.
