I'm trying to get my truck ready for its first "legal" road trip for the 4th of July and I went to put together the headlights and I don't have the small thin metal retaining rings for the headlight bulbs. Is this something that I can pick up at a parts store because it was standard for a lot of years? I really don't want to order new ones and pay shipping on top of it. If any of you guys got some gently used ones? I could send you some cash if you get them to me by Friday? If not, I'm checking the local parts store tonight and maybe ordering some from LMC if not.
Originally = 11A-13015 / replaced by = 11A-13015-A / Replaced by = D3TZ-13015-A.
D3TZ13015A is STILL available from Ford. List price $16.49 / FTE member net $11.83
Both FTE sponsory2kfordparts and DIRECTFORDPARTS show this seal beam retainer at this price.
To support FTE, the best resource anywhere on the net for free and helpful information, we have sponsors here that pay good money for us to enjoy this priviledge.
lmc gets a lot of free play here from some members, but is NOT an FTE sponsor. Something to consider. I'd rather pay a couple of bucks extra to support those who support FTE.

NumberDummy- I agree with you completely on that, I've spend hundreds of my hard earned dollars (which is a lot being a college student) at Mac's and the only reason I wouldn't use them this time is that it would take longer than I need. I've had to wait more than a week before, but their products were better than the other "cheaper" knock-off places. Thanks for putting that up there. I try and use the sponsers when I can.
Thanks, but I picked up 2 at Carquest I'll get to find out if they fit tomm. I have 220 miles to drive tonight in my 67 mustang till I get to work on it.

Guess what?
The same headlight retainer ring is used on your Mustang. In fact, all single round headlamps used the same ring from 1940. 1940 was the first year Ford used sealed beam headlamps. The style of the ring changed in 1969-originally the mounting holes resembled the figure 8, but both styles work.
