Slipping/No Go in O/d
About 1100 miles after having the transmission flushed, it was intermittently slipping in O/D, now it doesn't even go into Overdrive with the OD light flashing. Truck has 182,000 miles on it, I guess I'm probably calling BTS right? I'm in Canada so I imagine core shipping will be fun.

I talked to my tranny guy today about mine having a few issues but i think my probs will be fixed without calling BTS. Another option for you would be to have someone good go through your stocker and use an aftermarket T/C, and get a better pump and valvebody. The symptoms your having he said are from a worn out pump and T/C, You could do these things and spend a WHOLE lot less money than on a BTS.

Vehicle Speed Sensor
The speedo is driven off the ABS system which has the VSS as one of its inputs but the VSS is also used as a tranny input and an intermittent or bad one will cause the OD light to blink and the tranny not to use OD (Safe Mode) even though the speedo is working correctly since the ABS system will drive it off of the front wheel sensors.
misterFisher have you considered having brian ship a rebuild kit and assembling it locally instead of shipping the whole core.

Might be a good plan. If it comes to that, I'll talk to those guys and see, his trannies do have the best rep about them, but I wonder how important it is to have them assemble it and check it.

Well, update. Got my old 1705 tuner out, pulled the codes. God a 0478,470, and 783. Cleared the codes and truck shifted normally (The 783 code was failing to shift 4-5). Got home, pulled my VSS, the thing was covered in crap. Swapped it out because I had it, and the truck pulls hard through all gears.

BTS Trans: $3800

Shipment of core: $620
Broker Fees: $120
Local Install $700
Total: $5860 .
I just can't justify that for my truck running nothing more then a tuner. If I was south of the 49th, I would just drive to him and have him put it in, then the price spread is not nearly as bad.
