Hi Guys....Picked up my new 08/6.4 f350 supercab diesel last week and so far so good. Have about 800 kms on it getting about 10mpg around town.(I am a little heavy footed!) Anyhoos today I tried to wire in my Sirius Sat radio (SV1) so that it acts the same as the radio, shutting down when you remove the key and open the door. In my 04/6.0 I just found the fuse that ran the delay and tied into that.First it took me getting out the manual just to find the fusebox! Now it seems that all the fuses are "hot" all the time in this new truck! Even with the key out. I looked under the dash drivers side and found my upfitter wires, but there is also about 10 wires that are dead ended. So to end my long winded story, does anybody have a wiring diagram,...or know what these extra wires are for???? Thanks!
Kneedeep is right. There are a number of dead end wires under the dash, many of which are not hot. I mistakenly attempted to wire a CB into some of those wires believing they were for the upfitter switches and there was no juice. I could not find the upfitter wires and asked the dealership. The diesel mechanic who is otherwise quite knowledgable about the new truck could not find them either and had to call Ford. Turns out the upfitter wires were attached to a bundle of wires higher up the dash and totally wrapped in black tape. You had to cut the tape in order to find the upfitter wires. CB works fine now off the upfitter switches. Ford has a great idea with the upfitter switches but needs to mark the dead end wires and make them more accessible. My advice to those hunting for the wires is to find the 8 or more dead end wires located in the bundle closest to the floor and then look higher.
