Replacing the headliner on a 84 f350 crewcab, to get the cardboard piece out took some twisting and folding. But what about installing it, with the fabric on it you won't be able to do this. Do I need to remove the back seat? What about cutting the headliner in half the short way and do it as a two piece?
I have pulled the rear window before to make this a easier task.
The local uphostery installs the headliner fabricless and then tapes off, sprays glue and installes the fabric. They must know what they are doing, as I haven't seen a wrinkle yet. Me if I tried that way I would be all wrapped up in the fabric!
please keep us me posted on this project I have to do the same thing on a 86 crew cab and am interested in what you find out. Thanks scott. One more thing I need a interior drivers side rear door handle do you happen to have one or know where I might get one. thanks again.
