New guy skulking about
Hi all,
Just found this forum and well had to join up. I've owned Ford trucks for awhile and will be in the market for a new one in a couple weeks. Just traded in my F-250 crew cab diesel for a Toyota FJ 4x4, just for off-road fun.
I'm looking to get a F-350 crew cab dually diesel since I am going to be towing a 36' 5th wheel. Since I am going to be a full time traveler, thinking of getting it in 4x4 as no doubt will be hitting bad weather I have no desire to take it off-road. Am I just wasting money and gas mileage, or am I going in the right direction?
This looks like a great forum and looking forward to getting tech tips and saving a little money. By the way if anyone knows a contact at the Ford dealership in Rapid City, South Dakota it would make it much more painless.

If you plan on encountering snow then 4X4 you will want. We have a Towing forum that should be a lot of help for you. Just click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll down to it. The Super Duty forum will also interest so check it out. Since you will be traveling a lot the state chapter forums may be of help for places to see. It's located toward the bottom of the forums list.
