Lifter's on up...
I got the broken oil baffle installed yesterday in hopes of loosing my tick noise, no good.
So after a couple more paychecks are back in the bank, it's getting lifters, push rods, and rocker arms. When we took the heads off, I put everything up so I could get them back into the same spots. My 12 year old son /helper managed to open the hood and help me with things while I'm at work.
Now he get's to help again.

ooooooooohhhh. Ouch. I'm askeered to ask how helpful he got. My twelve year old is going to be here on the 3rd and fully intends to help me pull the heads on mine truck after the 4th.

Hey I know you are in the Raytown area, we're from Blue Springs (naturally I find this websight after we moved to Ozark) and we're gonna be in KC the weekend after the 4th of July.
We have reservation at some hotel in Blue Springs off 7 Hiway and Duncan Rd ( a mile from our old house ) friday, and killing the day running and visiting and seeing, then saturday with family, then happy to get home to Ozark.
Any chance of hooking up that friday? PM me and I'll give you ny cell number and let you know more.

Friday is gonna be ugly for me. I'm working 6-4, then 5-10. Looks like I'll be pulling a split double on Saturday, as well...but will have sometime in the early afternoon.
