F350 Shaking + a rich carb

I just bought a f350 1984 1+ ton dualy with a utility bed set up by lacey. At around 35-40mph Im getting a good shake from the rear. Looks like the bed is twisting but the cab isnt. Its a slow rocking from the utility bed. I dont see anything major, broken bent frame ect. Almost no rust at all on this frame. The PO said he had all the wheels reballanced and the driveshaft ballanced to try to fix the problem. I do see the front wheels camber in a good amount. Whats the stock allingment all around? I can start with that. Maybe change the rear tires around. Personaly I dont think he had the wheels ballanced. I quess that will be my first step. Any idead would be great.

Im running rich with a 2 barrel motorcraft on a 302. How can I lean it out so I will pass emmisions? It failed on the po HC was a high 2. Im new to fords and havent gotten a service manual yet. Whats the best service manual on this truck?

oops

Turns out I have a 5.8 w (351 windsor right?) If my timing is set at 15 btdc when it should be at 8 will this make it run rich and have a slight backfire on decelaration?

Your power valve is probably leaking. It could be several things, but this is the most common failure in these carbs that make them run rich. Put a kit in it, and it will probably straighten out.

15btdc seems pretty far, mark the distributor and try it at 8 and see how it goes.
