Rebuild and modify ip
Does anyone know where I can get info, diagrams, ect... on how to rebuild and modify an ip for an idi. I know i can buy one already modified for more flow for a turbo and such. I used to like to fiddle with carbs to get more out of them back in my gasser days. I want to learn more about ips, to rebuild and modify for more flow, acceleration ect... Any info or literature would be apprecitated. I have a few extra ips laying around I could start foolin with.

If you have any diesel injection services close to you, you may be able to ask to see what they have.
The amount of information about the internal working of the pump is rather limited, probably because of the equipment needed to set it up properly.

I hear they are rather complicated, with terrible close tolerances. I would like to know how they work, why the work ect... I believe it would if nothing else help me understand more how to make my truck run better. Plus like said I like foolin with things. My dad says I like fixin things that aint broke.

Just trying to get away from the parts changer mentality. A true hot rodder, diesel or gas, should understand how and why something goes fast. Not just stand looking in wonder at a bunch of assembled parts, thinking dang thats fast but I wonder why? I've been reading alot about diesels, and know there is killer potential for hotrodding.

Thanks, Great site, Great prices on thier parts. I wonder how their Turbo ip compares to DPS turbo ip. It is a lot cheaper.
