I have not been happy with the power of my truck since I bought it new in 96. I always felt the transmision was the problem and not the engine. It never seemed to be in the right gear for the situation. Now my transmission is vibrating...kind of like I am running over small speed bumps......it gets worse when pulling a trailer. Now my overdive button doesn't work all of the time.
Will a chip help my problems. If so which one is best. Is there a chip made where I do not have to run premium gas? What will happen if I run reg gas with a chip that needs high octane?
Other mods already done....K&N filter, Cat back dual exhaust with no mufflers!
PLEASE HELP
I think you should have your trans looked at before you purchase a chip. Just make sure nothing is wrong with it first before you spend big bucks on something else.
Scorpio; A chip will not fix any existing problems that you are experiencing. You really should have the problems repaired before adding any performance mods to your truck.
Thanks
Danny
