Powder coating would be excellent. Ive seen a ton of farm machinary that has been powder coated and they can really take a beating.

Last fall I had my Bobcat wheels powder coated and the tire man wasn`t too careful when remounting the tires so there is a few bare spots now around the outside bead area.....

Ahh yeah, they are tougher of the tires to mount too. Unless they had a machine.

They were mounted by hand using a big hammer and pry bars hence the bare spots on the rim....

some guys don't give a rats patoot Fom...some rags wrapped around the prybars might've saved the bald spots from happening...

Well, it`s a tuff job with the heavy ply side walls which are real stiff and the rim is a bit wide for the tire so it`s fairly hard to inflate. They have to use the air blaster tank to seat the bead....
It`s not a job I would like to do for a living.
All in all at this tire shop I get great service with reasonable prices so I can`t complain.

Yeah on those kind of heavy ply tires, you cant put rags under the bars. You pretty much need to grip the bar as best as you can on the metal. Being a tire tech is a tough jobs some days. Its alot more physical then a guy thinks.

Yeah dirt bike tires can be really tough too. All depends if the rim has a good drop center in it or not.

Worst one to mount and dismount, a goodyear skidder tire when its cold. Man they suck!
