Torsion bars weak?

Torsion bars weak?
So i cranked my torsions up along time ago, and been riding like that for alot of miles. When i noticed one day my right rear was saging... so i measured the rear heights and the truck was 5/8 inch lower on the driver side. So i started to measure around and decided to lower the passager side torsion... i had to back the passenger side out 1" more than the drivers to level out the rear. Is this becasue my drivers side torsion bar is weak? What would cause this? My dads Screw actually has more several more turns on one bar than the other... Did for do this on purpose... im kinda stumped
