Tranfer case fluid
Have a 1993 F150 4x4 with auto transmission and electronic transfer case. I'm going to be switching the transfer case this weekend and I'm not sure of the correct type of fluid to put in/top off in the new transfer case. I believe I should use automatic trans fluid but I don't know for sure. What do you recommend ?

Knowing what you are switching to would be a little bit of help. If you are just replacing the t-case with the same type, and youe calss for auto trans fluid now, then replace it, and install auto trans fluid. If you are upgrading to an older Np 205, then you will need to use good old gear oil like 80W-90.
A decent rule of thumb is cases that are aluminum usually get trans fluid. Cast iron units get gear oil. The Np 203 is the exception, it gets 50 weight, but that is another story.
