thanks guy's.. i learned something from painting the pipes..i should have known it would happen dont paint and use clear coat where the boots go..they will blow off...

thanks tenn..yes i did..the clear coat made the pipes too slick..sanded them back down where the boots are and all is well..built a boost detector and put 40lb to her and she held up well....
Yeah, I forgot specifically who did it, but I saw a member powdercoat their pipes once and then after powder coating, he taped the WHOLE pipe except for two inches on each end and then had the ends bead blasted with a very fine media. It left a very definitive transition from coated to non-coated and the coarse surface left by the blasting keeps the boots from blowing.
