fuel gauges

My fuel level guages do not work. The front tank used to work and the back used to be all the way passed E. Now the front tank is pegged and so is the rear. Any clue on what is wrong. This truck has been very good for me and I've never had to work on it so I don't know much about it. Please help. I'm wanting to sell this baby so I want it fixed for the new owner.

When you say pegged you mean all the way on full or all the way on empty? Start by checking the wiring AT the tank, there is a ground wire for each tank, make sure it's still connected to the frame and that the connector and wire are in good shape. If not replace the wire where needed and/or the connector.

Pegged to full. I've heard that it can peg if the ground wire is broken or has lost contact but I'm not sure where it is. Would replacing the g-wire be an easy fix. I sure hope so.

The fuel tank ground (G801) is located on the left hand (driver side) inner fender behind Headlamp.
The fuel tanks (or anything else.) do not ground to the frame.
