I bought some BFG TA KOs in a 295/75/16 and do not like the performance when towing. I bought them because they were white letter and the stock size was black wall. So now I am wanting to go back to a stock tire and want white letter so I was looking at the Goodyear
i got cooper discover's on my ford load range e 10 ply. they ride like a rock. they had 80psi in them and i got 50 in each now. now it wonders on the road. i gotta put 8 plys on it soon.
I've got about 15k on mine and they look good and run nice. I haven't towed with them but have had a few 100 mile trips with close to 3000 in the bed with no issues. I've done the 6k rotation as recommended.
I had put Wrangler Silent Armour 265/75/16 load range E, on a truck (Chevy 2500HD 4x4) just before I sold it to my dad. I did some research before I'd bought them and decided they were worth the money. I personally only drove about 10,000 miles on them, but my dad has since put an additional 20,000 on them without rotating them. For the way he treats a tire, I am pleasantly surprised at how well they are holding up. He is always (2-3 times a week) loading the stock trailer down with 15,000-25,000 lbs. and driving about 65 miles (half of that trip is on not-so-good country roads). The only complaint I'd say is that the back tires have quit a bit less tread than the front, but what do you expect with that kind of load all the time and not rotating your tires. I'd say he should easily get 50,000 out of these tires. Hope this helps.
I just put Silent Armor's on my 2001, load range E, 285/75R16's.
They aren't all that silent, at least with the stock rim width
One thing, they do seem to put a bit more sway into the back end of my truck - I might have a front-end issue (ball-joint) but it wasn't there before I had these tires put on. I'm still playing with pressures to try to get them right.
Dirt traction is amazing... wet traction is amazing.
But they make noise when I hit the gas - go figure... I still only have less than 100 miles on them though.
Balanced perfect. Almost the same handling as the 265's they replaced.
They sang real loud when I first put them on but seemed to quiet right down after a couple of hundred miles.
They are more "squishy" then the Pirrellis I took off, but they are also a AT tire where the Pirrellis were straight highway use.
They balanced with a minimum amount of weight {2 Thumbs up!}
Traction in all conditions I have driven in has been outstanding.
They seemed to wander slightly when brand new. I changed out the factory steering stabilizer and the problem went away. The wander was minor and may have gone away on it's own with a little wear but, I was going to change the stabilizer anyways.
Overall I am really happy with them so far and would recomend them.
I got blackwall side out and the side wall is really "busy". Lots of writing, lines, patterns, etc. Just a personal preferance but I would have liked less sidewall markings. If that is the biggest complaint I have with them guess I am in good shape.

I have 325/60R18 Silent Armor Wrangler, Load Range E on my 07 F-350. Love the tires, much better than the stock continentals, great traction, ride very well, etc...Been on for about 6300 miles so far. Often have 2000lbs+ in the bed and have often towed 10,000lbs with them. With 60 psi in them they barely squat.
I also have 275/70R17s on the 1999 F-150. Have 25,000 miles on them...still have tons of tread. Awesome traction in the snow (truck has a small snowplow on it).
Overall a better tire than the BFG AT KO's that I've run before.
We have them on all our plow trucks, in fact Goodyear was the second stop when the '08 got here. They wear well, have great traction, and will withstand a lot of load. (13.5K curb weight with a load of salt on). All ours are nitrogen filled, and road force balanced.
We mount ours blackwall out, but different strokes for different folks.
