Excessive brake effort

Excessive brake effort

f350 diesel - New Vaccum pump, new brakes, new slotted rotors., fresh fluid.....and I still have to "plan" for a fast stop. No matter how hard I hit the brakes, I cannot make the truck come even close to skidding. The brake peddle is nice and firm but it still won't stop as fast as I would like. I don't want to waste my money on a new RAB valve if that won't make a difference. Should I just cut my losses and get the hydro boost set-up?

I would ck if booster is holding vacuum and ck rear brakes adj.

I have heard the hydro boost will put you thru the windshield if you are not careful. Hate to hear the probs. Hopefully someone else can help you here sorry this is not my forte'.
