Wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing as my a/c is doing??
Truck drives great now with the injector issue resolved last week. I was coming home from work and had the a/c on. I do not use the automatic function. All of sudden the fan starts blowing really hard but I had the fan setting on 1 bar. I pressed the fan down but no change. I turned the a/c off and back on again and no change.
When I got home I turned the truck off and then back on again. It solved the problem. I am not running to dealer until the problem gets worse and they can duplicate it. Too much time spent leaving truck at dealer and they can't duplicate problem.
Try raising the temprature and see if the fan speed goes down. A low set temprature can cause the AC to go into max mode for awhile to catch up. If raising the temprature does not help then the Automatic CC head may be bad. They have failed in the past and had to be replaced by the dealer.
I have noticed my vent fan turn off completely for about 2 seconds 4 or 5 times. Always under acceleration, always when a/c on. The pause has been for the same exact amount of time each and every time it has done it. Go figure.
Mine will just quit completly, no fan, no a/c clutch clicking, nothing. Pull over turn it off, restart, works fine till the next day. Did this 4 times during our 5500 mile trip out west. Called the dealer he said one of two parts are bad, got to take it in to be diagnosed, then take it back when parts come in. Bummer.
My a/c only works with fan turned on 4. Worked fine for two weeks at all settings then just gave up. All other functions except a/c work fine. Going to dealer Thursday to get it looked into.
My dad just called from somewhere (about 3/4 of the way to Idaho from Ga.) and said his ac has been completely quitting on him with no recognizable regularity. After shut down and restart everything is fine again. He found a dealership on the way and they said they couldn't do anything unless the problem could be recreated for them. He is handling it pretty well for how much he spent on that truck.

Mine did the same thing and the control head was bad. Dealer found it right off when I described it to him. Parts should be in tomorrow and back on the road Thursday afternoon.
Dealer fixed mine in 1/2 hr. Mechanic hit fist on dash by glove compartment and A/C would re-engage. He said he knew what it was put it into garage and replaced a part and no more problems. If it quits on anybody while on highway on a hot day I wonder if you try hitting fist around glove compartment area will that provide a temporary fix?
