Hey all! Just wonderen, Ive been noticing a small drip last cpl days on my 02 7.3 right behind my right front mud flap- droppin down from somewhere up in there ...any ideas? the drip does go away after a cpl hrs and Im sure it isnt water from the street... Im baffeled!
oh anybody have 2 cents on ams synth oil and does it live up to its name for changing once every 25000??? or severe at 15k??
Yes it is normal, especially when the AC is cranking on a hot day. I'd never let the engine run the same oil for 25,000 miles, even 15,000 IMO. You'd need a bypass oil filtration system, and oil analysyes to confirm it's fine to let the oil stay in the engine any longer than 5,000 miles. I have mine sampled every 5000 and i added a bypass filter the last change.
I agree, it's most likely your A/C condensation dripping down.
I was under mine the other day and I discovered algae growing on the mud flap, that's how much mine drips. Of course this is Southeast Texas and it's super hot and humid here 24/7.
It really sux when you're working underneath on that side and your truck kindly reminds you about the evaporator drain by dripping in your eye. Happened to me more than once...
