having problems with a c-6
when i bought my 79 f 250 tranny was a lil goofy then it started to get bad. i would drive, engine would rev way up and once u let off the gas kaplunk it would shift into second. after that i would just shift it on the go. now it hardly moves. but reverse still works like a charm. checked fluid and that is still up were it should be. i did notice that the vacuum modulator line was not connected to where ever its suppose to be up by the engine. its hooked up on the tranny and i dont kno if that is it or if the tranny is shot. thanks for any kind of help in advance.

ok i got that hooked up and i guess i forgot to say this before. but once i take it out of first and put it in any driveable gear ( 1,2,D) it dont go and then when i go to put it back in park it grinds really bad. then i gotta shut it down and put it in park.
