94 F150 with alignment issues

I just replaced my pitman arm, 4 tie rods and both adjusters on the weekend. I have adjusted my steering alignment about 10 times now because everytime I turn the tires the alignment gets thrown back out. I don't know whats going on with it. I keep checking to make sure everything is tight but there is still something happening. Any suggestions?

are you talking about setting the toe in? if so check your wheel bearings for play.

The toe in is fine. The problem I'm having is in the steering. One wheel will stay straight and the other will turn in or out a bit.

you should be able to see where the play is if you have some one work the wheel while you watch under the truck.

I will have somebody steer it for me tomorrow. How tight should the tie rod end nuts be? These are the first tie rods I've changed so I am wondering if it is possible to have them over tightened.

I think I see the problem... you tried to align it yourself? By eye?

Or did you measure it? If you did, what did you set the toe to?

I am trying to align them with the rear wheels. I have never aligned anything before so I don't really know what I'm doing. I just gotta get it close enough to get to the alignment shop that is about a hour drive. I put a dropped pitman arm on because of the bump steer and changed everything while I was at it. I have 2" wheel spacers on my truck so I am going to remove them tonight and try it again.
