Danny is our programmer - he programs them, we sell them). He/we sell both the Superchip and the Diablo. I almost always recommend the Diablo and Danny usually does too when he talks directly with the customer. Its a cleaner installation and a couple extra hp.
BFM: You are correct, partially. Some of the codes run hotter from Ford. So to say that statement is correct??? May be correct with some codes, on other codes the Superchip runs higher EGT's. You usually don't worry about high egt's caused by the chip unless you are towing a tremendous amount of weight, and have a hotter than recommended chip. Diablo seems to have gotten the egt's under good control. As for the 5.4, egt's are not a concern on any naturally aspirated gasoline engines.
Thanks

BFM: For the XPC4 code, Superchips has a better program. We have yet to be able to reduce the smoke with a Diablo program in an XPC4. With a Diablo, the truck smokes so much you cannot see behind it. With a Superchip, it runs clean. This is the only code we have had a problem with excessive smoke, with Diablo. This is from personal experience from installation in 12 vehicles with XPC4 code. The experience has been exactly the same in each and every one of them.
Thanks

Thanks for the info Danny. I already knew I didn't want a Diablo, and until now I wasn't considering a Superchip either, so I have several more questions about them if you don't mind.
1. The online store on this site dosen't have an item discription, or dyno results for the PSD chip. What is the HP rating of the chip?
2. I assume it's the 65 horse chip, can I get a bigger one (80HP or possibly a flip) through this site?
3. Does the Superchip remove the speed limiter?
4. How much $$ to reflash (if it becomes necessary)? And,
5. Can it be reflashed for more power, or will I have to buy another chip later (this is where I'm leaning towards a flip chip, but geez, they're expensive)
Hmmm, can't think of anything else right now. Thanks for the help.
For dyno strips, go to Superchips.com or DiabloSport.com, both post dyno strips for the powerstrokes.
Both companies offer several different power levels. It really depends on how much weight that you tow.
Both companies can remove the speed limiter.
If you want the max power a chip has to offer, you will need a 4 inch exhaust system, a pyrometer installed, and will not be able to tow ANYTHING. Otherwise, a 78 hp and 156 ft/lb chip is the safest and maximum hp gain that you can achieve safely.
Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question.
Diablo is in Boca Raton, they will not sell retail, Superchips is in Longwood, Florida, they sell for full retail price. Ken here is much cheaper than Superchips direct.
