Need a Stock tune file. Mine is corrupt.
I have a new (at least is was sold to me new) TS 5x loader and lost my stock tune file. The unit I got already have files in it and there is some concern that it corrupted my stock file when I read it into to reader.....not 100% sure. I DID NOT not buy this from TS. Its from a different reseller which I will name after I get my truck back up and running. Basically the reseller (unnamed at this time) sold me a unit that was returned and had files in it. They did not check it and it had old instructions which was also a problem.
TS, thank goodness, is really trying to help me and they have been very supportive but I can't get my truck started until I get a stock file back in. I may end up having to take it to the dealer as a last resort. The file name should look like this "VXCE8" and may also display "Green Oak" after it. Any help would be great.

I am not familiar with that tuner, but most look for a matching vin number before uploading a tune if a file already exist. So the first thing to try is disconnecting the battery. I have done this once with a hypertech, the box already had a vin stored and it stoped up from uploading, but it also killed the motor. We disconnected the battery and in 15minutes we were driving again.
I see two options depending on the tuner. If you give us an ECM code, someone may be able to find a file for you. I have access to a couple, or you can subscribe to motorcrafts' website for 3 days and get all the files you need. Option two is to have the dealer restore the computer to as shipped.
