UUHHHMMMM........NO!
I would never add any of them to my fuel tank! Ever. maybe ATF in small does but only if I was broke and there was no more fuel on the planet! then I would burn some ATF til that was gone.
I am very interested in lubricity additives, but don't really know much about them yet. I've found the info compiled by the guy that goes by 73Moparman or something like that pretty interesting, but it's pretty Dodge/Cummins based and I don't know if it's all applicable to us and there is plenty of reason to be skeptical and cautious. Cummins approves up to 5% if I remember right, used engine oil which seems crazy to put that contaminated crap into your motor. Most of the additives seem to be mostly solvent based, so they would seem to work good as cleaners, but I don't yet understand what they do for lubrication if anything. I bought a bottle of Ford lubricity additive from the dealer to use when I fire my truck up following my injector swap. Parts guy said nobody is buying that stuff from him. Label on it says it contains kerosene among others. I don't know jack yet, but lubricity additives seem like they would be a good thing. Once my truck is running I'm going to try the 2 stroke oil and see how it works.
Diesel Kleen at Tractor Supply is $12.98 for 96 ounces. The same bottle at Wal-Mart
is $15.96. I keep the big bottle in the garage and just fill a small bottle to keep in my tool box along with a funnel. If I put in 21 gal., I use 14 ounces of DK. That works out to .66 ounces per gallon of diesel.
I don't know if they sell to the public. I do know they have a tiered system depending on how much money you spend each month so we are at the best pricing. The name of the place is Rowley's based in Bay City, MI.
