Hi! I'm new to forum, hope I'm in the rigth area. My question. I have a 1973 F350 camper special, with 59000 orig miles. It sat in a field for over 20 years. It runs good with rebuilt 390. My problem is left turn signal and brake light don't work. Bulb is good and wiring harness looks good. Could it be turn signal or something else. Thanks
Sounds like it may be the turnsignal switch. If you can write down the wire colors for the left and right turnsignal/brake lights in the rear, you should be able to find these wires up in the steering column.
With the turnsignal lever in the center position, you should get 12 volts on both of these wires when you hit the brake pedal. If you only get voltage on the right side that works, then it's going to be the turnsignal switch. If you get 12 volts on both wires up front, but nothing on the left wire at the rear of the truck, then it's going to be a wiring problem on the left side wiring.
