Hi. I am new to this forum, but not new to Fords. I have a 1973 f350 camper special with 59000 orig miles. It sat in a field for over 20 years. Maybe someone can answer my problem. My left brake light or turn signal will not work. Bulb is good and wiring harness from what I can see is good. What could it be???
Anything sitting for 20 years can have all sorts of issues. I recommend our tech forums to find those who know. Just click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll down to the forum for your year of truck. There is also a electrical forum where you can get additional assistance. For local support and information about area events be sure and stop by your CA chapter. They are located towards the bottom of the Forums list.
I had the same problrm with my 77 f250 except I did not have any brake lights turned out to be the turn signal switch replaced with factory switch for $64
Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure at this point that's the problem. I'm going to put another switch in for GP hopefully it'll solve the problem. I can rebuild an engine, but I'm a dead loss with electrical.
