I just put the I Beams and pivot bushings on mt 2WD 85 Flareside. I used POR 15, black on the frame and I Beams and silver on the steering knuckles and tie rods
I put new upper and lower ball joints in the I beams In puting the knuckle on to the ball joint shafts, do I tap the knuckle on to the shafts without the camber bushing and then tap in the camber bushing? Or, do I set the camber bushing into the knuckle and then tap the assembly onto the ball joint shafts? I did remember to punch a reference mark on the camber/ knuckle assembly before removing.
This is a true ground up rebuild with just the painted frame upside down in my drive way. It is a lot easier to install the steering gear and suspension with the frame upside down.
