I have a 2001 Superduty PSD and am seriously considering a new chip. My computer code is PMT3. Right now I am leaning towards the Diablo because of the slight horsepower increase and the smoother shifts. Also, I do very little towing with the truck. However, I was wondering if either chip was more compatible with my PMT3. I imagine the differences between the Diablo and the Superchip would be negligible, but just wanted to know before I made my decision.
The Diablo has some very good codes for PMT3. There are even several "4 bank" codes for it. If your towing is under 4,000 lbs, you can use a 78HP chip with no problems.
Since PMT3 is a very common code, there are many good codes:
altitude, soft shift, even softer shift, hard shift, no shift mods, mileage, propane and all the standard programs.
