Tundra

AutoWeek magazine had an article on the 07 Toyota Tundra. They were lamenting how such a great truck would still be at the bottom of the 1/2 ton truck market. The could not understand why more people were not buying them, instead of Ford, Chevy or Dodge. This is the uphill battle for US auto makers. Magazines just love imports, more then the others. I am not going to renew with A/W, because of their bias. They just love M/B or BMW.

The name of the magazine explains why they don't understand trucks or the prople who drive them.

Is there just MAYBE a chance that these people get to drive these vehicles on a regular basis and actually think the Toy is a better all around 1/2 ton???

Nah.....it's all a big conspiracy theory.

I do think I see a trend. The magazines are slanted toward enthusiasts and car/truck owners that appreciate performance .....which I include myself in that group.

I know, I know....a truck is meant to work and be on the farm; nobody needs a fun, quick truck...........well, nobody HERE at least.

Somebody better tell Ford so they can cancel the Foose, Roush, Saleen versions of the F-150......God forbid there be a performance truck for us Ford fans!!!

[a write up of the above trucks is available in the horribly biased June 11th Autoweek.... ]
