Truck is at the shop as we speak so we will see what is going on. I tested all the fuses and relays and they seemed fine. Is the wire harness still a posibility with the wait to start light not coming on.

I would say that the harness is a definite possibility as amiller said.

Mine is in the shop as well (died in a parking lot while I was filling my coffee mug) with similar sounding symptoms. The only difference being that I have not been going through CPS units at all, and changing mine out did not solve the problem.

I should know more tomorrow about what the problem is and it will be interesting to see what the fixes will be for our trucks.

I kind of feel like this is a seperate issue from the CPS because all the one's that went bad were aftermarket one and they are known to be junk and go out very quickly. Also, I think that most if not all of those CPS were fine because after the 4 one I notice that the wires on the plug were bad and they were shorting out. Now that is fixed and the new ford CPS has been great, so I think that this might be a seperate issue. I will let you know if my guy find anything that might help you.

I just called the dealership and my problem was related to my aftermarket alarm. It was sending mixed messages to the PCM and (I guess) telling it that I was trying to steal the truck!

I may know more when I see the invoice, and will post up again after I pick the truck up in a couple of hours.

Sounds like your issue is quite different from mine, so unfortunately my resolution will not be of help to you.

.... I haven't seen the bill yet as they were just doing it up, but it should not be too much (I hope) considering that they had it running about an hour after they pulled it into the shop.

Saw the invoice ... the wiring for the alarm was wrong and they charged me $315 Canadian to make it right. Funny how it ran fine until Friday?

Oh well, I'm back on the road again!
