How many freeze plugs on a 460
I have a 460 in my 79 and it has a couple of the rubber freeze plugs in it and I blew one out the other day and would like to replace all of the steel and rubber ones with brass, can this be done with the motor in the truck, are the only freeze plugs in the side of the block or are there some on the back of the block between the block and transmission?
Thanks
Thanks

Well the answer technnically to the OP is Zero, there are no freeze plugs in a 460 or any other ford motor (or gm, chrysler, yota, etc) but it does have 6 press in core plugs.
now the next question the advantage to brass is they don't rust like steel, and don't rot like rubber but they are softer than the steel so can be damaged easier but not usually an issue, not sure if you can get all of them in the truck depends on the truck but usually yes you can sometimes you have to jack up the motor and removed the motor mounts.
