turbo cleaning pics

re-installed

rust was minimal on an original 2003 garret vgt


before


after

vanes open(after cleaning)

vanes closed(after cleaning)

before(w/carbon & rust)

after(w/motorcraft anti-seizing compound)

thank you. It actually isn't me doing the work. It's a friend of mine that is a local tech at a ford dealership.

it actually wasn't a necessary cleaning, and after pulling the turbo apart that became more evident. The turbo wasn't acting abnormal at all. never has. just something to do really. lol Spool up was greatly improved from 40mph to 60-70mph. Turbo lag was also drastically reduced from a stop.
