F250 Engine Noise
My 96 F250 (150K) recently started making a "clacking" noise, sort of like the clack old diesels make. It's not super loud at idle, and gets louder and faster as the rpm's go up. Above 45mph, it either dies out or is not loud enough to be heard. Not sure if it's related, but a few weeks ago I started getting a CEL after 10 to 30 minutes of driving. CEL is not present when I start. I tried to count the stupid CEL light blinks and it gave me codes 172 and 173 for the Key on Engine off test. My book says 172 and 173 are HEGO Low and HEGO high which doesn't make much sense.
Any ideas?
