Lift Size

I have bought another f250 super duty and want to know if anyone can tell me how I can determine the size of lift that it has. Is there a base configuration or height for a 2001 sd that I can measure from? Any help is appreciated.

Passenger side, bottom of frame (by bumpstop) to top of front axle. Stock distance on a 4x4 PSD is around 7.5"

Thanks, i'll go measure it now. Its a skyjacker lift that I think is either 6" or 8" because the truck has 36's on it (Super Swampers). I don't think they'd fit anything less.

It measured between 15 and 15 1/2 inches so I'm gonna go with being an 8" lift. Is there any component on a skyjacker lift that would have that written just to be sure?

Not unless you can read the part numbers on the leaf springs still...

But yes, axle tube to the bottom of the frame rail measurement of 15-15.5" would be a SJ 8".

Can anyone tell me the stock distance for the rear axle as well. I need new shocks and am trying to determine the rear lift size also so I know which size to order.

As long as you order front and rear shocks for a 8" lift you'll get the proper ones.

Personally, I'd go with DR shocks.
