Roller chain on cam???
Do the 5.0 efi motors all use steel gears and double roller chain? Or was that only on HO models?

No, not all did...for example, I rebuilt a 5.0 out of a '90 Bronco a couple of years ago that was not roller chain...

The cam gear on the O.E. roller chain sets are cast iron. Only the Ford Racing HP sets used a steel cam gear that also required a steel retainer plate.The later pickup/van/large car 5.0's also got roller chain sets.

Yep, Dad's 89 F150 has a double roller.
