Crew cab door handles

Does anybody know if the outside rear door handles on a crew cab will work on the front doors?

I believe that they are interchangeable, but I have not tried..

I remember a thread about thefts and others suggested to put another pair of the rear handles on the front doors to remove the key cylinder..

I installed 4 painted rear door handles on mine. No issues at all. Plus it looks nice not to see the lock.

Pardon my ignorance, but, what would you do if the battery in your remote or the battery in the truck runs dead?

As for the remote battery I have a key pad on the door. And if both batterys are dead then I call tripple A. It is a chance you take to have the batterys run down but unless I leave the lights on I don't see that happening.

See that was the only thing that I was a little worried about. (The trucks batteries). They only thing I could think about was possible putting a positive jumper point under the fender or something.

Does anybody have an idea about cost of the door handles and how hard the install is?
