I have a 1970 f250 2 wheel drive that I am slowly restoring, but I came across a 1979 f250 4x4 that I couldn't pass up for the price. See where I am going with this? Would the cab from the 70 bolt on to the 79 frame? Also, is there a repair kit for the rusted out frame mounts that the cab bolts to? Thanks for the info! Dan
I am told the 1970 cab will fit on the 1979 frame but I have not done that swap myself so can't say for sure. I would be happy to take some measurements Monday for you if you wish?
I have used factory front frame cab perches and the rear cab cross member for your 1979 F250. These are off Southern trucks that have never seen road salt.
Just private message me or email me from my web site for details if interested.
Hi guys, Thanks for the info. This is a great site. Glad I found it. I thought the cab would mount in the same position but I wasn't sure. I will keep Mike in mind when I need parts in the future. Thanks again for your help, Dan
