just started to hear a clicking sound which sounds like its coming from my front end area underneath the truck. 2000 model superduty 7.3 diesel. any suggestions or ideas would be helpful thank you
When does it make the sound? While turning the wheel, in motion, not in motion? Does the engine have to be running to make this sound? If so, does the "clicking" sound follow RPM's?
Does it follow wheel speed or engine speed? Try shifting into neutral while riding at 10mph, hit the throttle and listen. Also try to determine what side its coming from if it IS wheel speed related. Let us know what you hear.
found the source it was a rock caught in my calipers next to the rotor. no damage to anything just paid for a half hors labor and was told by the mechanic that this was the nicest/cleanest running super 250 2000 model he has ever seen only 64,754 miles on her and going strong thank you everyone that replyed
