For those of you that don't have a pep boys close I was at IH today picking up fuel filters ($28.10 for the kit) and asked the price of a oil filter and was floored $12.70 who would have thought they could beat walmart on price?

WishIhada7.3 area might have something to do with it but you might want to check around for another IH dealer your sounds high very high. my last 2 invoices show a list price of $43 dollars and $ 33 for the filter kit. for some reason the price has went down.

Birddog, consider yourself lucky. My IH dealer in Las Vegas was much like 7.3 is saying: Fuel Filter was $48 and oil filter was $28 dollars. I decided to pay it just to have the right filters in place in case my truck ever went in for warranty service.

My local IH dealer (Anchorage, AK) charges $30.38 for a fuel filter set. The local Ford dealer wants $71.65. -- I love easy choices --.
Keep in mind, most IH dealers have two price scales: 1) their corporate account/local service station price and 2) their standard, walk in off the street customer price. Most will hook you up with their 'in' price if you ask. The standard customer price for a fuel filter set is $46.58.
