Black HD Headlights

Black HD Headlights
Has anyone ever tried or thought about painting the headlight housing black to make them look like the HD ones? I have seen it done on other vehicles and seems to hold up alright but I didnt know if anyone had attempted it on these. I dont think it would be too hard to do. I have OEM harley headlights on my truck but I took the stockers apart and painted the background black.There was a bunch of people that did this on another forum so I had to try it.I'm not completely satisfied with the paint so someday I may take them apart again and repaint them.
I'm not in any hurry because I already have the OEM Harleys on the truck.
You have to put them in the oven for 10 minutes @ 250* and pull the housing apart.It can be a beach getting them apart.You have to seal them up good or moisture will get inside and fog up the lenses.

you any pics of them by chance?? yea have taken apart some headlights on my old WRX so i a fairly familiar with doing it. yea i would love the OE HD's but i cant justify that as of right now...so i was trying to find a cheap alternative. thanks
