The Excursion uses a completely different frame and axle...and I think the Expedition is pretty different in the rear end as well.

Why do you need one? I dont have one at all on my '97, and there is still virtually no body roll at all...

I thought that the exc or exp was the same as the f150 except for the body

The rear suspension is totally different-coil springs vs leafs.
I installed a Steeda bar on my F150,and it made a HUGE difference in the handling of the truck-esp when loaded. You could get that one,or one from Hellwig. They sell a nice swaybar setup as well.

Yes, the Expy rear suspension is totally different from your F150. If you want to stay OEM, I think you could get one from a Lightning. I got the staggered rear shock adapter from a Lightning on mine to minimize windup, but I have not added the rear sway bar (if I do it, I'll go aftermarket; there's really no reason to pay dealer prices).

You have to be careful in throwing a rear sway bar on. Your truck has a tendancy to go into 'oversteer' especially when empty. What this means in practical terms, is that the rear end wants to change places with the front end. Not Good! A rear sway bar may increase this tendancy under certain conditions. That (and cost) is why they are rarely supplied originally.

Yeah, the Excursion is based off of the F-250 SuperDuty. Not one thing in common with our F150's.

The Expedition is pretty much the same as our F150's from the driver's seat forward. But from there back, it's a totally different animal.

Good luck with it
