cool turbo

Ok here it goes, First I am not a dumb person, but is this a dumb idea. Is it possiable to install a hood scoop that would blow air on the turbo to keep it cool, that way you can run the free flowing exhust and the other mods with a 80hp chip, would the hood scoop do any good at all, just a question.

It will help, but it will be minimal. The exhaust heat is in excess of 1000 degrees in many cases and cooling on the exterior will be minimal, especially since the exterior of the turbo is not designed to rapidly remove heat. The primary purpose of the larger exhaust is to get the exhaust gas out faster so heat doesn't build up. The exhaust, combined with an EGT gauge, should be up to the job. At some point, no matter what you do (other than putting in a large intercooler), 80HP will be too much for very large loads. The only way to know that limit is an EGT gauge.
