A guy I used to work with set me up on one with his brother. It didn't go that great...I mean it wasn't terrible or anything but there wasn't any chemistry or anything there so I didn't want to pursue it further. But the guy at work wouldn't stop bugging me about why we weren't going out again and why we weren't practically married yet! That was awkward...
That was the last blind date I went on. As far as advice, they're pretty much like any other date I guess. Just be polite and be yourself. If it works it works...if it doesn't it doesn't.
I'm not a lady but had to chime in. Don't do it. That is one step below meeting someone on the internet.
I met my wife of 23 years on a blind date. That was 25 years ago....Most of the time the mutual person setting you up has done some homework or have a good idea. Nothing else a new friend can be made and can plot how to get them back for the suggestion of the date
My question to the ladies is what is the thing they would like as a gift, pre-planning activities, inner thoughts etc....
Well unfortunately there aren't a ton of ladies on here to help you out. And also unfortunately (for you) I view dating and relationships a little differently than other women, so I'm not really a good one to ask.
Good luck though. Let us know how it goes. When's the date?

Well, since I'm somewhat of an expert on this subject (I've been on hundreds of blind dates, not many second dates but that's beside the point) I feel that I should tell you what I always do. Bring another girl with you, so if things don't work out you won't be going home alone.

I haven't got up the nerve to ask you yet, Since the subject has come up, How's next Tuesday?.......j/k I think you would be a great date because of common interest - ford trucks and FTE
I asked her where she would like to go, she suggested a local non-chain restaurant. Tomorrow night - we don't want to mess up each others week end if it doesn't go well

There's a truck stop between the restaurant and home......

You are too sweet! You guys would all be fun to go out with and talk about trucks all night!
Local restaurant sounds good and if you trust the friend that set you up you should be good.
