As the title says the compressor kicks off and on pretty quicky and theres no cold air in the car. Its about 77 degrees on my shop plus some engine heat so the compressor should stay on. I hooked up the manifold gauges and and the low side goes up to 45psi then drops to 25psi (when the compressor kicks in) the high side is around 100psi. Then back up to 45psi with the compressor off. Im guessing pressure switch?

Nope, Really low system charge. The Low side pressure switch opens at ~28 psi. and closes again at ~45 psi.
Basic rule of thumb is that the static pressure in a fully charged system should be very near to the ambient temperature.
At that static pressure, your system is likely contaminated with air and moisture. Find and repair the leak, replace the accumulator, evacuate and recharge.
Since I dont have a vacuum pump would it be possible to try to add freon and purge the system by releasing pressure through the high pressure port while the car is running? Im lookin for a cheap temporary fix to get some a/c. This car is about to become a parts car due to a rusty frame but it still drives good so Id like to stretch out its life a little longer.
You can usually rent a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set from AutoZone. Net cost is $0 when you return them. An O-ring kit is about $8. How much cheaper do you need?
You could try just recharging it. Just don't be too disappointed if it doesn't work for more that a few days. The refrigerant will leak out again or the compressor may fail. Don't bother trying to "purge" it, that will really not accomplish anything.
Add the refrigerant 2-3 ounces at a time ,waiting 5 minutes between "shots", until the evaporator inlet and outlet pipes are the same temp. (MAX AC, high blower, doors open, 1500 rpm).
